How To Become A Real Estate Agent

In order to sell real estate or represent a person/persons selling a piece of real estate in Ohio, you need to pass the State and National portions of the Ohio Real Estate Salesperson exam with a passing score of 70 in order for a license to be issued. In order to even qualify to take the Ohio Real Estate Salesperson exam, you need a signed document stating that an active Ohio real estate broker will be sponsoring you.

Choosing A Real Estate School

In Ohio you’ll  need to choose a real estate school (we only recommend Hondros) and complete the following real estate courses before you’re able to sit for the State and National Real Estate Exam.

  • Real Estate Principles and Practices (40 hours)
  • Ohio Real Estate Law (40 hours)
  • Real Estate Appraisal (20 hours)
  • Real Estate Finance (20 hours)
